Spatchcock Chicken w/Finney Rub #2

Couldn't decide which Finney Rub to use, so I went by color. I thought #2 would give the best finished color. I was right and very happy with the finished results! It gave a great finished color and crust. The taste was outstanding. Spicy, but not too much heat with just the right amount of sweet. Perfect balance and combination of flavors!! Very good rub buddy!

BTW, I used a bag of BBQ Delight Pecan Pellets.

Cliff it took about an hour and a half in the 350-375 range.

That rub is great on chicken! Larry, have you ever tried covering the bird while its on the grill with a cookie sheet weighed down with a couple of bricks? It cooks real fast and comes out real juicy!

Haven't tried it that way Nick, I'll keep it in mind next time.

That's right... If you can't "hawk" your own rub, "hawk" mine. :D
