I'm pretty frugal and hate wasting food and absolutely love cooking with leftovers. I think I actually prefer it over cooking from scratch at times.

Cathryn wanted soup last night and we still had leftover ribs from Monday and they either had to be eaten last night or thrown away. So, I put them in a pot with some water, beer, garlic, onion, bell pepper, salt, pepper, chili powder, cumin, oregano, canned tomatoes with chiles and a can of black beans. I wasn't trying to make chili, but more of a stew, so I guess you could call it stew or chili, in either case Cathryn and I really enjoyed it!! She added Frito's and cheese to hers, just cheese for me.

Looks great Larry, think I would roll with Cathryn, a few Frito's sounds like a good topper.

After I lit my charcoal once with Fritos, I just can't eat them anymore........that's a lot of oil!

Shouldn't this be posted in the leftover section?
Nick told me to say that.

Well Larry your artsy fartsiness neva ceases to amaze me. Great job. Now having been raised as a po white trash child issued to a parents who survived the Depression we could make soup out of anything. Remind me to tell you about some great nail soup I heard about one time. It waa down the road a piece seems like. Over in the next Ward as some would say in Jouston.

Larry that looks great and I am saving the recipe. The picture sort of reminds me of Taco soup.

You know the rotisserie chickens in the grocery stores such as Wal-Mart? – after we pick around on one of those for supper my wife can dream up some pretty good soup recipes with what is left over.
