Rib Eye Madness

Val's dry aged.

My 1 1/2 inch.

Off the grill, with lump.

Onion and Matag blue for Val.

Same for me with a Gray Goose martini.

Life is good.

Looks good. Pigs, there's something cosmic about the combination of steak, blue cheese, and a cold martini. Good show.

Here's the link and Recipe:
http://www.tasteofhome.com/Recipes/B...e-Cheese/Print

Quote:

INGREDIENTS

* 2 beef tenderloin steaks, 1-1/2 inches thick
* 2 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
* 2 tablespoons butter, softened
* 2 slices white bread, crusts removed and cut into cubes
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
DIRECTIONS

Place meat on broiler pan. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 5-8 minutes on each side or until meat is browned and cooked to desired doneness (for medium-rare, a meat thermometer should read 145į; medium, 160į; well-done, 170į).
Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine the blue cheese and butter; set aside. In a skillet, saute bread cubes in oil until golden brown. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Top steaks with blue cheese mixture and sprinkle with croutons; broil 1 minute longer or until cheese is slightly melted. Yield: 2 servings.

Yum Yum!!!

Man that sure looks good Pigs! I've got to grill up some vidalia onions like that, they sure look good. My daughter was just commenting on how much she likes cooked onions so this would be perfect. Thanks for the idea and the pictures.

Toby, they come out like candy! I use a little EVOO and Kosher salt on mine. Enjoy.
