I used to have a 1990 vintage Ducane grill with the ceramic briquettes. Wonderful grill. But I had a change of lifestyle (went full time in an RV) and eventually had to get rid of it.
For a while I even converted it to a portable unit by removing the understructure and building a set of legs to sit on a picnic table, and it still worked well, but space in the RV got too tight and it had to go.

After that I tried, but could never find a portable unit that could work well. I have tried all sorts of other BBQs including Weber, portable, tabletop , and can't find anything close to what I had.

I have now had another change in lifestyle and would like to return to that old style Ducane Grill.

Is there anything out there that can compete with the old Ducane for temperature and evenness of heat?
