Was up at the Mountain House in Blowing Rock, NC and I decided I was going to cook a steak. The grocery store didn't have my usual Ribeye in stock so I picked up a T-Bone. This was actually my first time grilling a T-Bone. I'm still experimenting with using steak rub and since last time I used it more like a seasoning this time I decided to go crazy. And... I went a little to crazy because even though while cooking the steak I knocked off a good bit of the rub it was still pretty much the only thing I could taste. So hopefully since I have gone with not quite enough rub to way too much rub I will find a nice middle on my next attempt. But it was still a tasty steak :D (Once again I apologize for the photo quality I still haven't picked up my 5D from my apartment so these are just with my cell phone)

I must admit it was nice being able to act like a caveman and gnaw on the bone when I was finished :D. I know my dog was jealous.

Dude......must have sliced pic!!!!
Looked real good without though. Creamed corn! Nice!

With good steaks like t bone & rib eyes I keep it simple salt pepper garlic and onion powder. Those steaks have enough flavor to shine on!

Hey thanks guys :D. Here is another meal I cooked tonight and I don't think it needs its own thread since it is the same type of steak. I'm still in Blowing Rock so I am still having to use my Cell phone so the picture quality isn't great. This time I used a Spicy Montreal Steak Seasoning with a little bit of a new steak seasoning I picked up to try.

I overcooked it a bit because I came inside to get a drink and got caught up watching an episode of Pawn Stars, wish I could say it is the first time this has happened lol. I like my steaks a nice Medium Rare, with more emphasis on the Rare :D.

Now I dont understand the principle of adding grease to something which is already greasy. Whut am I missing here? Thanks. Now a little splash of wooster I can handle. Thats how the big boys do it according to whoever posted Altons steak recipe. Just cant let it set long or it will turn the steak to mush. I dont normally mess with it.
