Recently I was in a "Grilling/BBQ Iron Chef" competition. Secret ingredients, eggs. Everything that was put to heat had to be done outside, over charcoal/lump/wood. Our three man team came up with the theme "Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner". I was in charge of lunch.

Here's my entry...

"Picnic Lunch: Egg, Butter & Old Bay Marinated Soft-Shell Crab Sandwich on Brioche Rolls with a side of Deviled Egg Potato Salad.
Homemade brioche rolls baked on a Weber kettle, slathered with homemade mayonnaise and topped with a soft-shell crab that was marinated in an egg, butter, garlic, shallot and Old Bay emulsion and then grilled. With a side of homemade deviled egg potato salad (also made on the kettle) and a homemade Old Bay aioli dipping sauce...bourbon flip for beverage."

Butter, garlic, shallot and Old Bay melting together.

Then egg tempered into the hot butter mixture and the crab marinated in it before grilling.

You sure that wasn't from an actual Iron Chef episode? Because it sure looked like it!
 
Wow Don I can see why your team won, that all is amazing....I wanna reach in the screen and Eat all of that, and those rolls are crazy!
 
Thanks everyone! This was a lot of fun. Our team won by a mere 2 points. Btw, my dish scored the lowest of the 6... Still very pleased with it, though.
