My new Traeger PTG (Portable Traeger Grill) arrived today and it looks like it will be a great grill for the camper. It will also get some use in the backyard. It is lightweight and designed for tailgating and camping etc..
The only thing wrong was the lid locking hasp on the right side was broke and I repaired it.
The cooking area is small but I think I can work with it. I made up a raised grid so I can cook on two layers for items that are not too tall and will fit. I also have a cast iron griddle and a 10" pizza stone that will fit the cooker.
I installed an Ortech controller and the RTD temperature detector. This will give me much better control of the cooker.
The temperature detector was about 1-1/2" too long so I had to rework it to fit the cooker.
Will try to get it seasoned up tomorrow and then cook something
