Pretty slick. Here's what I use to light my coals. It only takes a couple of minutes to get a few spots burning in the coal pile.

I got it at Lowe's. They also have weed burners that hook up to the large 5 gal. propane tanks.Hogdady said:

Yeppers I would send off and a get a patent on that burner deal. On charcoal I always use an official Prickly Pear Burner. Just fire it up point it at the fire and flippy da switch man. Keep eyes closed. It have that charcoal started quicker than a person can say Jack Splat.

Via Harbour Freight for about $20 bucks on sale.
Well have not had the pleasure to meet or hang with Mr. Mixon so not sure whut similarities he and I might share. Will agree with Buck Harbor Freight is the only place to chop for januine Prickly Pear burners. Pick one up on there for twenty and some change or go buy one at the local Mom and Pop feed store for 150 or so.
