Chicken was on sale for $.59/lb and tri tip was $2.49/lb. Couldn't decide which one for dinner so I made both. My Wife is hooked on lemon pepper chicken and I wanted something different so again lets make both.

Tri Tips seasoned with Suzie Q Santa Maria seasoning, one chicken seasoned with lemon pepper and one chicken with some Rooster Booster.

Plated. Everything turned out fantastic. I never tried the white sauce before and loved it. Was great on the tri tip too. I could have made a real glutton of myself and had seconds of everything.

Nice job Vermin. Looks beautiful as always. I'll take a plate if they are any leftovers. :)

Harris Teeter has nice whole chickens for $.59/lb. so that's what I'm cooking tonight. I hope my Roadside chicken comes out looking as good as yours!

I don't have any pics, but I can tell you it came out the color of brown sugar and it was excellent. I cooked it indirect for 1 hr. & 40 min. and direct for the last 20 min. I had marinated it for 2 1/2 hrs. and only basted after an hr. and before cooking direct. I pulled it when the breasts hit 160' and let it sit for 20 min. The skin was crisp and the meat was very tasty, firm, and juicy. This will be my recipe for half chickens and breasts and Larry's Orange Marmalade Sriracha Wings recipe will be my recipe when I'm cooking wings, legs, and thighs.
