Burgage.....Healthy and Unhealthy!

I needed a good meat fix, but still needed to keep it 'healthy'. Cathryn and I love Bison meat, but as usual my wife has to stick with BEEF being a Texas girl......So to my amazement and total disappointment she bought 'Bubba Burgers'...but who cares, I was not eating them!

Got the pre-soaked, desilked and seasoned corn on the grill first.

After about 15 minutes I added some sweet potato slices.

15 minutes later, the potatoes are almost done and seasoned with Wolfe Rub Original and I turned up the heat a bit to get ready for the burgers.

Then made 1/3lb burgers out of the 1lb of Bison Meat and simply seasoned with salt and pepper.

And......ummm here are the Bubba Burgers...

Which one would YOU eat?

Added the Bubbas first, then the Bison as I wanted it medium rare.

Dinners ready!

The makings of my burger included lettuce, tomato, red onion and fresh sliced jalapenos on a Multi Grain Bun.

Great looking burgers. I really like bison but the store I get it at is hit and miss if they will have any. Its usually miss. I have some Bubba burgers in the freezer too, just haven't tried them yet.

I love Bison burgers and personally think its the best burger you can make, just have a hard time with the price tag. Your burgers always look great. How did the sweet potatoes turn out? I am guessing REALLY GOOD as well.

MMMM great lookin Bison Burgers, I love bison...Sad I can only get ground Bison here...opps well not sad. But we got Bison sirloin steaks in the grocery store last year and I got some, oh MAN!!! awsome, been a year I dunno why they left me But the way I see it Bison is a beef lovers dream...all that great taste and so lean.

The bison looks really good! I can identify with Bubba burger deal...the only thing worse than that was me dating a vegitarian (she absolutely hated that I smelled "like meat" every other day from dad's smoker). This was in my young and stupid days: Boca Burgers (the vegi things) are terri-bad and I could never get them to grill without turning into hockey pucks. the fact that they even touched my grill probably means I should have thrown it away.
