Beer Brats

Sauteed some onions in butter and when they were finished I added about a 1/4 cup brown sugar

Some fresh brats from a local meat market in a pan with some Shock Top Belgium White beer and the onions and simmered for about 15 minutes

While the brats were simmering I cooked a 1/4 lb hot dog for my youngest Son.

Took the Brats out of their bath and gave them a quick sear.

Brats on some toasted buns, with the onions and some Dijon Mustard and served with some chips and some pickle spears.

Great looking brats John.

Tell me more about the brown sugar. Is that a flavor or caramelizing thing?

Thanks,

Larry

Damn those brats remind me of Little Bavaria here in Michigan. Kinda make you want to go to Frankenmuth don't it Bqquzz? Been wanting to get there for a few months now just don't have the time. Need to get up there and get some Das Brew. lol

Haven't been in a number of years, but gotta say Zehnder's and the Bavarian Inn make it worth getting off I-75!

The Bavarian Inn has better food, and is more personal. Last time my family went to Zehnder's, they had use sitting in the basement at card tables. So much for atmosphere. We will never go back to Zehnder's.

Well since you put it that way, the Bavarian Inn then. All the chicks from the local college usually work as waitresses. You have to watch out for the waiters every so often.
