Nicsoon, I never have any problem getting 350++ with a full chimney of fuel...Unless you are strapped for cash, I would never buy the 18.5" on purpose! ;)

You'll be happier with the space!! 8) :D :D
 
You should have no problems with your temps with the 22.5". But why not spend a little extra cash and go with the Performer!

don't get rid of the 18.5 unless you have too. it's still better when you need a really hot fire.

Ditto. I have an 18.5" that I love and use more than my Performer. But when you have more to cook the Performer is the way to go!
