4 to 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbls sugar
1 pkg Fleischmanns yeast (I used from a jar of bread machine yeast)
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 cup milk
2 tbls Veg oil
2 eggs lightly beaten
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In a large bowl combine 2 cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt.
Heat milk water and oil until very warm (120*-130*) stir into the dry ingrediants. Stir in enough of the remaining flour to make soft dough. knead on floured surfacefor about 4 mins, until it is soft and elastic.. Cover and let rest for 10 mins. Divide into 14 equal pieces and roll each into a rope about 20" long. Cover and let rest 5 to 10 mins until risen slightly. Shape ropes into pretzel shape. Put onto greased baking sheets. Brush with half the egg mixture and bake at 350* for 15mins. Remove and brush again with the eggs. Top with coarse salt, Parmessian, poppy seeds, sesame seeds or cheese and bake for another 15mins. until done. cool on racks and enjoy em!
