This is from an old Company's coming cook book.

This is a great recipe to make in large batches.

1 c Butter
3/4 c white sugar
2 eggs
1 tbsp lemon rind grated
3 cups AP Flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Cream butter sugar well. Beat in eggs 1 at a time.
Add lemon rind.

Stir dry ingredients in another bowl and mix in.

Shape into rolls about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze over night.

Slice thinly and bake at 375 F for 7-10 minutes.

Glaze with 1/2 c icing sugar and enough lemon juice to just make it pour out. Add yellow food coloring if desired (I don't) spread on cookies.

Makes approx 5 doz small cookies.
