3/4 c maple syrup
3/4 c corn syrup
1/2 c brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
5 whole eggs
2 egg yolks
1/4 c browned butter
1 large can ( 300 gr ) whole cashews roasted & salted
2-3 oz good chocolate melted for drizzling
1 baked tart shell

Preheat oven to 350

Combine all ingredients mix very well.
**Please note if the cashews are not salted add 1/2 tsp salt to the recipe.
Pour into tart shell bake for about 30 -40 minutes until it is set.

I use a basic pastry recipe for the crust that contains no sugar. You can use whatever type of crust you prefer. I would not recommend anything sweet.
When cool drizzle melted chocolate over. Serve with vanilla ice cream.


This will be coming out of the oven shortly. I will post pics later.
 
Couldn't find the chocolate - found out that hubby had eaten it. :shock:

So here it is without the chocolate. It was nice and not very sweet at all despite the ingredients.

Yup that about sums it up.

For me it is one tiny slice = 1 hr on my treadmill.

Then I give it away to friends and neighbours so I don't eat anymore.
