Known by many names. This is the East Texas version.

Stir together:

2 C Sugar

3 TBS Cocoa

1 Stick Oleo

1/2 Cup Milk

Bring to a rolling boil for exactly one minute.

Remove from heat and add:

1 Tsp Vanilla

1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter ( One whopping spoonfull )

3 Cups Old Fashion Quaker Oats

Stir together and spoon out onto wax paper to dry.

Warning: One cookie has about 500,000 calories and there is no way to eat just one. ;)

Good Lawdy Miz Claudy. Aint no wonder yall got such crappy bbq and sausage over in your neck of the woods. You trying to pass this off as a Missipppiii mud pie? I am fixing to get the little bride after your coola. She will teach you how to make a real one without no yankee under/over tones. Your in a heap o trouble.

Just a question 1 stick ?

Is that 1/2 Cup?

(Sorry I dont seem to have sticks of margarine here in Canada just by the pound or tub)

Thank you.

I made them tonight however I did something a little different.

I made them following the recipe then I made a log of them in wax paper then sliced them.

I am going to package them up for my hubby's office they love sweet stuff.
