1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup granulated sugar
3 tbls softened butter
2 eggs
1/2 tsp almond extract
1/2 cup slivered almonds

350* oven and a 15x10 pan
In a small bowl combine flour,cocoa,and baking powder
In a large bowl beat sugar, butter,eggs and almond extract until creamy. Gradually add flour mixture until smooth and stir in almonds.
Divide dough in half and make 2 12" logs and flatten tops slightly. Cook 25 mins. cool for 5 mins on wire rack. Cut into 1/2" slices and put them cut side down back onto the pan and bake for about 20 mins.
