Brie en Croute

Package of puff pastry (frozen then thawed 1 sheet)
pepper jelly 2 tablespoons
1 large or two small rounds of brie
Walnuts toasted (chopped 2 or 3 tablespoons)
Beaten egg
Pear slices or apple (Relatively firm)

cut patry into rounds enough to cover brie (use brie as template)
spread pepper jelly onto pastry sprinkle on nuts place brie on pastry over nuts and jelly.
fold like a package nicely cover brie completely with pastry
brush egg mix over brie round
bake at 400 for 20 or so minutes until pastry is lightly brown.
serve with slives of fruit and cracker and toast points also wine would be a nice touch.

Also if you don't like pepper jelly or jalepeno jelly try using caramelized onions and or herbs that you like.

This is a fast and nice thing to make up last minute.

I ran out of pepper jelly so yesterday I made this with homemade crab apple jelly instead it was great!
