A Little Something Sweet

Chocolate cake layers cooling

Pecan and coconut frosting setting

Dang frosting was a little runny

I also have some homemade vanilla ice cream in the freezer. I may be up around 1 or 2am cutting into the cake and testing the ice cream!

Re: A Little Something Sweet

Here you go wittdog! It's somewhat rich but not too sweet and the frosting is better to work with this morning.
It's from the "REAL CAJUN" cookbook by Donald Link I consider this a must have book if you like cooking and eating good.
Enjoy!!!! I know I will!!

Re: A Little Something Sweet

This morning the frosting was a little stiffer so, I evened everything up on the cake. Now it looks even better.
It's just shy of being 6 inches tall.

Re: A Little Something Sweet

Your right, that frosting is too runny. You better send me that cake quick so I can dispose of it for you!
