Wild Leeks (Ramps)

Whoo man, I ate those things like candy along with wild garlic as a kid. Stuff a northern pike with that jazz and cook it over live coals and mom would not let you in the house for a week in the summer. Thanks for bringing up such great childhood memories as a little kid living and fishing in the woods with his friends. We were the original cast of Survivor. :grin:

This potato leek soup really hit the spot with the great WNY weather we're havin'.

Wild leeks and the greens.
Taters (cooked), bacon, ham.
Butter, bacon fat, flour (roux)
Can of beer, milk.
S & P
Garnish with fresh chives

Before it's fully hot take out a 2 or 3 scoops,
puree, and add back in to thicken to taste.

MMmm! That looks dog gum good! Potato leek soup is on of my favorites ! =P~
