and it was worth a brazillion dollars!
Strangely dressed servers come by with hot, steamy
hunks of meats, and slice them on your plate...all you can
eat...15 different cuts of meat. Expensive, but fun...
anyone been to one of these?

I have Jim! Very good, entertaining and filling! Definitely a heart surgeons investment!!

Food wasn't the best I've had, but it was all good, and very entertaining!
Great place to go with a crowd. I was impressed with how well the meat
was cooked..they served top sirloin, Larry, I thought about you!

Well, Cappy's post was somewhat cognitive. The central focus could also be "Food wasn't the best I've had"

  :P :P :P

It was called Rioz.
Ya'll ever had chimichurra sauce? I've seen it on tv before,
but it was waaaayy better than I ever thought it would be.
They had pork ribs...extremely bland to me...no smoke, no
rub, no sauce! Everything is rotisserie, and I was greatly
impressed at how the hunks of meat were cooked.
The gaucho guys were walking around with "swords"
with meat impaled on em, and they'd even ask you
is you wanted rare, medium, etc....I was impressed
they could find the slices that fit my request...again,
none of the 10 or 12 pieces of meat I tried would
rank as the best I ever ate, but they were all
excellent! 35 bucks a person btw, it better be good!

Chimichurri is an Argentine marinade. Great on flank steak!!!!

We went to one in Fairfax VA, once, a year or so ago. Frankly, we were kinda overwhelmed by so much meat. It was good, best I remember, but the concept of an endless variety and supply of rotisserie-roasted meat was hard to get used to.

Malibu Grill said:
Tailored after the food of the southeast region of Rio de Janeiro, Malibu Grill is a churrascaria, the Portuguese translation for steakhouse. In this region, the cuisine revolves around the churrasco, delicately marinated and grilled meats ranging from lamb and pork to beef and chicken. Most restaurants, serve these meats rodizio style - on skewers in an all-you-can-eat setting.

Nopers but they got one over by where I work at. They do not own a wood pile. Relax..you too can do the same trick on your gas grill. Now cant help ya on the puffy pants deal. I dont know how they do that:)

I've never been to a Brazilian restaurant, but the next time I'm in Chi-Town I'm going here!

I've heard nothing but good things about this place.

It is a different dinning experience. I have been to a couple of them. One in Scottsdale, AZ cooked over a hickory fire. I have eaten at the Fogo De Chao in Dallas. It was real good. Hope you enjoy the one in Chicago.

Been to Fogo in Chicago twice on business. Hated it, but that's just me. Everyone else LOVED it! To me, after the first serving, it all starts to taste the same. All the meat is overly salted like it was injected or something, The SALAD bar is awesome however. You be the judge. Honestly, I can't eat that much meat! (The regular bar is good too!)

Brian and John, not sure if you guys know or not, but there is one in Gainesville called SteakMasters. I've been once and it was pretty good.
