Just a short video from yesterday morning. The Breakaway Rods got the Pomps. The Ultima Line is a must have... Casts sooooo Smooth!!. Used Live shrimp from the " Bait Bucket" In Da Bluff.. Shrimp Flavored "Fish Bites" DCD3 Rig from Breakaway Tackle on Rodfield road, Corpus Christi, Texas USA. The water was Jamaica green.. Well you know. Very few people at the beach. FunFunFun
I gave half of the Pomps to my friend since he didn't have Breakaway and didn't catch any. I remember those days don't you? The video was from Contour HD Helmet cam & the pics were from the IPHONE 3G

SS your fishing videos are great. Which weight line were you casting, the #15 or the 25#?
The main line spooled on the reel is 25# & the tapered shock leader starts at 15# where the knot is and tapers to 50# for about 30 feet.. This allows one to cast heavy weights and not break the main line. You get further distance this way.

Good stuff Sapo. All I have is a old Zebco 202. Had it since a kid, works fine at the pond for bass. Every one sure looks happy on that trip. Great pics!

You probably been asked this before SS, but I'm lazy.
What do Pomp's taste like?
Tastes alot like Mahi Mahi aka Dorado.... Not too fishy flavor. One of the best fish we catch next to flounders.
