Venison for supper

Killed a deer this past weekend let the meat soak in ice cold water for a couple of days to draw the blood out of the meat. Took a piece of the back strap and sliced it about 1/4" thick. Dip the pieces in egg then coated with flour that had been seasoned with S&P and tony's. Them deep fried it until golden brown. Had cream style corn, purple hull peas, rice and gravey to go with it. Ummmm it was some fine eats.

Meat,egg and flour

Meat in skillet just covering the meat with cooking oil

Deer meat, cream style corn, purple hull peas, rice and gravey

I'll take a plate of that.
Gun season for deer opens in a few weeks up here. I hope I get lucky this year.
