Two of the woodworking projects of this winter are below. One is a wine rack designed to fit in a very tight spot in my buddy's kitchen. He's the guy with the winery. I holds 5 cases of wine (the 2 lower racks accept mags) and is made from oak.
The table was recreated from a magazine photo. I liked the design. A full size model was built, tweaked and then built of ash and african mahogany.
The top was a very lucky find of crotch grain.





 
What a gorgeous piece of wood, and a beautiful job of highlighting it.
 
Very nice work. My father-in-law was a woodworker and built all solid oak cabinetry for our house. I trust you charged him by the case :D :?: :?:
