Temp probe

Bought a Thermopen at a local bbq supplier today. I have been probing everything in the house, getting readings. The OL won't let me get near her. She's really getting goosey.
Gonna try it on steak tonight.

This weekend, cook only half as much meat as you planned, and you'll have enough money left over to buy one. :P

hehehehe you may have a point.

I have been making out pretty well with a 9.99 temp probe I got almost 2 years ago now http://www.presidentschoice.ca/HouseAnd ... r/catid/65 It takes maybe 10 secs at most to get a read. For now I am ok with that. When it goes I get a thermapen.

Used the probe on 2 pan fried steaks tonight. Pulled them at 140* and they were perfect....way better than feel or slicing into. Much better than using a dial type deal.

Got one and love it. Took it to a friends house that was grilling steaks and got him to use it to griil everybodies steak to order and he loved it. He ordered two the next day. One for his house and one for his camp.

Yep, they're great. Rag, I don't blame your wife for not wanting to get goosed with that thing; it's got a sharp point.
