Hamilton Police tried, unsuccessfully, to deploy a TASER on a large, unruly suspect, only to have the barbed prongs bounce off the man.

Watch as sparks delivering 50,000-volts bounce harmlessly near the suspect's feet after the prongs hit the sidewalk.

I don't know, to me it looks like they tasered him, he stumbled backwards fell down and immediately got up and threw up his arms and surrendered.

Maybe he didn't stay down as long as most people, but he gave up without any further resistance and no officers got hurt.

Seems like they worked fine.
