Silicone Basting Mop

Has anyone tried a silicone basting mop? i saw some at the store but thought I'd ask here before buying. It sure would be a lot easier to clean than a cotton basting mop.

Re: Silicone Basting Mop

I have a couple of silicone basting brushes that work great and are super easy to clean. I bet a mop would be nice!

I too have the brushes and they work well and are easy to clean, I assume the mop would be good.

Re: Silicone Basting Mop

Best basting brush ever invented is a SS Tablespoon. Never let you mopping utensil come in contact with the meat...blah blah blah. Now I would grab silicone for glazing. Got to touch it on that deal.

Re: Silicone Basting Mop

Silicone mop works good for sauce but not for a thinner liquid

Try This. http://www.oxo.com/p-516-large-silicone ... brush.aspx Mine has a shorter handle. The goofy waffle thing in the middle works great on thin sauces.
