Prime rib was on sale so I picked up a 2 rib roast.

Seasoned with cracked black pepper, granulated garlic and salt

Out and resting

Pan gravy

Yorkshire puddings

Looks good !

It was done in the oven at 300°F until it hit 140°F in the middle of the roast.

I find it gives me a nice medium finish after resting. I think it took about 2 1/2 hours.

Cool, Im doing one for dinner Christmas Day. That jives with what I was planning. I was planning on 300/350 for 2 hours for rare..
