Prayers needed!!!

My dad was in the hospital last week for gall bladder issues. Long story short they are thinking he may have pancreatic cancer. Although no tumor or anything shows on the MRI or CT scans, the Dr. believes there is cancer somewhere in the pancreas obstructing a duct going into the liver, based on his blood work.

We are hoping, obviously, it is something else but if their diagnosis is accurate, that maybe we are lucky enough to have caught it early so they can work with it. I would certainly appreciate if you could include him in your prayers.

Bubba our thoughts and prayers are with you, you're Dad and his entire family for possibly a misdiagnosis and ultimately a speedy recovery for your Dad!

That's not a diagnosis anybody wants to hear. I'm hoping it's not borne out, or if it is, I hope it's early enough to get ahead of the stinkin' disease. Best wishes for your dad, Kevin.

The fact no tumor can be found makes me think of a post on the Antique Engine form I'm on.
This fellow's Dad was loosing weight, and such, went and had an Endoscopy done.
They told him he had a tumor on his pancreas that involved a blood vein and blocking a bile duct. They called it T-4 level (whatever that means) cancer and was scheduled for radiation and chemo.
Later the guy made another post (this week) saying; they went to a pancreas specialist for a second opinion. They were told he had pancreatitis, another endoscopy showed no tumor, the stent was removed from the bile duct and meds were clearing everything up.
Lets hope this is another story like the one above.
Presently my brother is home recouping from surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his pancreas. He is doing great except for a drain into a bottle that has him bitching and moaning, but also gives him an added reason to liquor up some.
Hang tight Kevin
