Ok i am a bit confused,

UNO's Restaurant has an item on there menu called BBQ "pork stick" It is about the size of and the shape of a small turkey leg with a thin bone (about 1/2 inch in diameter) that runs through the middle of it. The Menu says its a "Pork Shank"

I thought the "shank" was the bottom end of a shoulder where they cut the foot off. If i am pictuing this correctly that end is about 3-7 inches in diameter. is there another part of the pig called the "shank" that would resemble a turkey leg?

Thanks

Jon

Jon, I had one this weekend cooked with Rosemarie at a Jazz Festivle I was working at...I was just about to post the same question. Ive never seen the shank in a store..It was good tender and tasty meat !
