I'm heading down to Myrtle Beach in Sept with my RV. We are staying at an ocean front site. What is the surf fishing like at that time of year, or is the surf fishing even any good in your area?
Note to self; buy hurricane insurance.

September is my favorite time down here...the crowds
are gone, but the ocean temp is still in the 80's,
and everything is still open. Hurricanes are a threat,
but we haven't really had a problem since Hugo.

Uh yeah, but what's the surf fishing like?

Blues and some jacks will be running out past the breakers biting cut bait, mullet. spots will be hitting in breakers on blood worms.

You sure you live in America...No Beer on the Beach? Next thing you'll be telling us is you can only get those tiny bottles of booze...

My brother is relocating to Myrtle Beach. I better quick call him about the beer/beach thing.

Swampsauce; I won't be able to reach the Blues or Jacks from the beach, but will be happy with the Spots and maybe some Croakers (with a beer thermos) 8) . Thanks.
