Ooops

When the butts were done the other day for some reason I removed the D-Plates while they were still screaming hot and was not paying attention...........well I layed them directly ontop of my Thermapen and it melted. Still works though....:Bow:

Thats a bummer..at least it still works...I lost a Maverick...when I had it to close to the chamber on Buford....

They are "Ceramic Heat Deflector Plates", basically a baffle between the meat and the food.

They are where the electric heating element is embedded. Some have a gas connection.
