Guys attending or hosting BBQ events in the state of New York should pay attention to this. Hopefully, event coordinators will be able to recommend local firewood sources or have some available for sale at comps.

Don't try to circumvent this. They are watching and will conduct spot checks at comps.

One more reason to stay home...cook some Q and liver....hell even John Pen couldn't drink enough free beer as the cost of a comp

This is all a big conspiracy to get people to buy pellet cookers. ;)

LOL they are just little logs.

I wonder if this also restricts the importing of smokinlicious products as well?

Wait until they apply the cap-n-trade carbon tax to firewood. You think it isn't coming?

Pellets are exempt. You need to have some sort of "Source Certificate" or something. A piece of paper stating where you bought the bought and that you understand it cannot be transported more than 50 miles from that source. Go to the link above and print out the certificate. I'd get receipts from whoever you bought wood from. If they don't give you one...don't buy it.

 Source certificate?....no more than 50 miles?anything else?standing on one foot when boughting the bought.."and that you understand" calm down orwell, pay the fine and stop making me gag.

Always a commercial,save the earth,,plug one in.pfftttt.
Ya importing wood from the USA into canada...can't see the BS for all the trees im my way!

The beauty of the global warming "cash grab" is, we'll all be dead before we know if this was true or not. They can say, "well, we need to stop eating beef right now, because we have determined that ,in the future, cows will evolve into a higher life form than man," and we would never know if they were right........or not!!! I guess that, the government is just there to look out for us, and, in the end they are right just about all of the time so, I am perfectly happy to sacrifice my lifestyle, and that of my children, and grandchildren , so that we can possibly protect my great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great grandchildren or, just to fund a bunch of money burning socialist programs.......

I can save you the suspense right now. Its not true. Just an excuse to start an environmental tax on climate change. Change you can believe in. And the ash borer only infects ash.

Anyone here cook with Ash?

My county is clean by the way!

Back to pellet cooking for me. Not worth the hassle!

Based on the map I just reviewed, I'd say Summit County ain't gonna be clean for long!!! You are totally surrounded!! Get out while you still can!!!!!

I'll be smoking in my driveway it looks like!

Back to the drawing board!

I need a new trailer for the pellet cookers at least until they outlaw sawdust!
