Here are a few pics from my yard and from the Inlaws house. Ice did a lot of damage in these parts over the last week. Our power was off for three days.

Power may be off for a few more weeks in the smaller communities around Jonesboro. Several crews from out of town are assisting in getting the power back up.

I will post some more impressive pics as I gather them from around town.

Ice storms er nastey, do millions a dollars in damage, we had one in 91 that tore everthin down, was weeks fer some folk got power, still replacin some a the gridwork. I own a nice big generator know, only needed it once, but hey, I got power! :D

Good luck, stay on yer feet!

it hit us after they got it, worse I've ever seen, they say it may be another week before power is up. Gona lose water tonight or tomorrow is what I'm hearing. It sucks but we're safe so it could be worse.
we lost an older couple yerterday to carbon monoxide, they were running a generator in their basement. It's sad, hear way too much of that kind of thing when power is lost, took 2 others to hospital, they were trying to heat their living room with charcoal grill.

There have been two deaths here due to trees or large limbs falling. The first death was the Police Chief of a nearby town. he was helping someone clean up thier yard.

Hey Cliff..deepest condolences to the pain and suffering yall are feeling. We rode out one of whut appears to be of similar scope when we was living up in Whiskeyta Falls many moons ago. It aint no day on the beach by any means. As with Witt we was without electric about a week but fortunantly was po white trash living out in the country and had the heating and cooking on butane. All we used was space heaters anyway so dont take no elect to run those. Guess we best email Algore and Osama to see if they might can speed up that Global Warming nonsense a little quicker:) Keep the Faith Brother. Praying hard for you and yours and for all those touched by this calamity.

Man that looks bad! Hang in there help is coming. My neighbor headed up that way who works for Entergy. With all the help from up north coming down for our hurricanes, we get to return the favor.

After cleanup and a growing season, things won't look so bad. That's about the only good thing you can say about ice storms. :(

I am sure the neigbors thought that I was some kind crazy person out in the yard with a chainsaw carving 12" slices off of a big pecan limb.

Now if you play the cards right on this deal you not only get free wood for life but charge em for cutting it up and hauling it off. That's whut all the Tongans do for a living around Useless er I mean Euless. Course they is built sorta like Mountain Gorillas from Africka. They can hold onto a piss elm limb a hundred feet above the ground for half a day with one hand.
