My other hobby

I have many hobbies as do other people. I am an online gamer at heart, I have been involved in online gaming for about 17 years now. I have competed in many competitions, tournaments, and have even competed for money and prizes at a professional level. Yeah I know gaming for money

For the past couple of years I have tried to get Gaming for Cure going, but with little luck. I made up Gaming for a Cure just on a whim one day, after the lose of my father. Basically I was trying to get a bunch of my gaming friends together to play in a tournament where they would pay $15 to enter as a 2 man team. It would be a double elimination tournament style of play. The first place team would receive each $30 to spend on new games or gear, second place would get $20 for the same. All other proceeds would all be give to the Cancer Research Center of America. I have been trying to get this going for a couple of years now, with out luck, but hey tomorrow is another day right.

Any way enough of me rambling, here are some pics of my latest Gaming Rig. It's not complete yet either lol.

Alot of gamers have their build sponsored, I buy all my components, then I do not have to listen to sponsors, or have to play what they say.

1. Here is a picture of most of the hardware that was installed, I have installed 5 more hard drives since then.

2. Unboxing of my case. CoolerMaster HAF X (942)

3. Here is my mother board...... Asus Crosshair 5 Formula.

4. My Athlon Phenom 2 Quad-Core 965 Black Edition, has been replaced with a newer Phenom 2 1100t Hexa-core processor.

5. Here is a picture of my 32GB of Gskill Ram.

6. Here is one of my 3 EVGA GTX 480 Superclocked Video Cards.

7. Just another pic of the video cards

8. I have most of the components installed here, the third video card came later. You can see the processor cooling fan, and the ram cooling fans also. Notice that you can hardly see any wiring. Having blobs of wire just hanging out can cause your PC to over heat. This case comes with 5 250mm, and 1 180mm cooling fans, and is able to have another 4 installed in various places.

9. Here is the computer complete for that moment in time.

I started this project with:
1 Cooler Master HAF X(High Air Flow) 942
1 OCZ Vertex 3 160GB Solid State Drive
2 Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB Hard Drives
1 Asus Crosshair 5 Formula
1 Antec Truepower Quattro 1000watt Power Supply
32 GB of GSkill 2000 RAM
3 EVGA GTX 480 Superclocked Nvidia Video Cards in SLI
1 Athlon 1100t Hex-Core Black Edition
1 Lite-on DVD-CD burner/reader
1 Lite-on Blu-Ray burner/reader

Hope this add to my persona. LOL

Holy moley ! I play a bit myself , but you are in a whole other stratosphere of gaming. I play tiger woods '08 most weeknight w/ my dad in Maine . I had a better graphics card installed in my new computer a couple years ago so I could play Medal of Honor and call of duty. I was a big half life fan a few years ago too , but I'm not very good. Can't play online cuz my PVP skills are about nonexistent ...
So what games do you like?

Well I have alot of games, I have right around 630 games on my steam account, I mostly play FPS (first person shooter.) Right at the moment I play Battlefield 3, Payday: The Heist, Borderlands 2, with my clan, But I have to say I have and play alot of other games by myself. Anyting ranging from flight simulators, to RPG (role play games). I play alot of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, FarCry 3, Left 4 Dead 2, alot of Indie games to pass the time. It pretty much matters of what kinda mood I am in.

Hell if you have steam bro add me, add we could do some gaming together. Get you hooked up with out VOIP (voice over internet program.) My Steam name is hereticss go on and add me.

Cool. I just downloaded team fortress recently , but I'm pretty hopeless. I do like a good FPS , tho. Love tanks and planes and stuff that goes boom.

I think you gotta add me , bro. Since I don't have any games on my steam acct right now , it restricts me. I go by tanker5050 on there. Try adding me......Jeeze , I tried playing team fortress for a few minutes and I got greased instantly about 5 times and gave up.
