If darker = better maple tatse (at least thats what the site said) then what do the grades indicate?

Im supposing grade A Dark is the best?
 
If you're interested in seeing syrupmaking in action, the Maple Producers Associations in NY and northwestern PA are having open house weekends.

A friend of mine who lives out near Attica was President of the NY Association a few years ago, and was instrumental in growing Maple Weekend from just Wyoming County to the whole state
