This one is so good that I'll never try another:

My Mom’s Shish Kabob Sauce

1 envelope dry onion soup mix
4 Tablespoons sugar
1 cup water
1 cup catsup
½ cup vinegar
½ cup vegetable oil
2 Tablespoon mustard (I use dry)
½ teaspoon salt
Dash hot pepper sauce

Combine everything and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Cool completely.

Use to marinate meat.

To use as a sauce after marinating be sure to heat it first.
