It’s that time of year again…Jamming…Strawberries are in….I stopped on the way home from work at the local farmers market and picked up 2 flats of berries…that’s 16 Qts….and a quick stop at the food terminal for 2 10lb bags of sugar. We are making jam, strawberry lemonade concentrate and “Sundays in a Jar”…The boys were a big help..D especially he stuck around and helped me hull the berries all 16 Qts of them.

We will probably be preserving and canning stuff every weekend till the end of Fall…we have a long list of stuff we want to make….MJ is waiting for blueberry and raspberry season, I’m waiting for Salsa and Red Pepper season…

We did our jam on Wednesday and have been eating it ever since, not necessarily on toast either.

Need to find a bigger spoon now.

Desert has been fresh berries on french vanillia ice cream everynight as well.

Yummmmmy, almost the best time of year is here.

I have made plum jam a time or two.

I have been on the hunt for wild plums for a long time with no luck

It looks like you are teaching them boys how to fend for themselves. ;)
