Tropical Storm DOLLY

Been following that on The Weather Channel.
They said it will probably pick up speed going across the Gulf.
Batten down the hatches and good luck Sapo ;)

We have Hurricane shutters, Hurricane Roof and all I need now is more meat to BBQ...and plenty of batteries and film... Yippee, here comes the rain!!! :D

Cristobal or whatever just ruined our weekend but left us
with no damage.....Sapo, what town do you live in?
I heard earlier it's supposed to head straight into Texas.

Corpus Christi, Texas... We are under a hurricane watch already.. I hope our new boss realizes what a hurricane can do and doesn't make us go to work during the landfall. If he does, I will have to send him on his merry way back to space....

Good luck SS. Hold on to your britches with both hands.
+1.

(Those that make landfall in the Gulf and those that come in around Hatteras sometimes give us a wind-and-water whumpin' clear up here in VA, but I'd sure rather have aftermath than the full fury you coastal guys get. )

I'm going to stay here and maybe BBQ later on... Everyone has a false sense of security down here. I have been taking precautions... I can make $$$$$ later from dumb asses once it's too late... 4X4 plus chainsaw = $$$$$$$
:D :D :D

Hey. the dumb asses know 'School Bus Nagin' will come over and take care of them if they get hammered.

man, it's hot as hell and the pressure dropping is giving me a super bad sinus headache..starting to get windy, but no rain yet...my eyes just feel like they are going to pop...

I talk to a weatherman everyday on my radio show...he always
stresses that the predictions of the hurricane's strength is never
as accurate as the path...which is certainly not certain.

Still, in a Cat 1, if you live in a decent structure, your main
threat is how much rain fall you get, and the threat of falling limbs.
Flooding and electrocution are the biggest threats.

Cat 3 and above, you better be gone.

That's why the evacuations are given so often. Monitor the
storm and be prepared...but you already knew that.

I still think the water temps in the Gulf won't let this explode,
but better safe than sorry.

I was watching the pics they had of it brushing Hatteras.
Kind of ironic it hit Moorehead (sp).......right where Ernesto hit while we were on our way to see you guys in Myrtle a few years back.
For this Nothern boy that was a wild ride.

Better get ready to hunker down. And rag why did you have to remind of us of Nagin that dumb ass. An embarassement to the State. Of coarse Gov. Blanco was one too. SS hope you fair well. Good luck man.

good luck SS .
