it's that time of year

My law partner's buddy pulled these guys out of Cook Inlet at 6am this morning. The top pic is a red salmon (sockeye to you flatlanders) and the bottom is a silver (coho). You only get this color in wild Alaska salmon.

Those are some great looking fish. Looks like they were a pretty good battle for your friend as well. Nothing like the feel of your rod tip bending and pulling .

The buddy is a commercial fisherman. They were caught in a gillnet.
