Heading to Indianapolis this week for a fire convention. Anyone got any good restaurant suggestions ?

St Elmos Steakhouse......One of the best in America.( I have been to alot of them! )

http://www.stelmos.com/

Also, it should me noted, that the steaks actually INCLUDE a couple of sides, AND that the sides are REASONABLY priced for a steakhouse of this ilk!!!!

WHOA! Thats pricey! But ill bet it is damn good.

I ate at St. Elmo about a year and a half ago. It was very good. I thought the shrimp cocktail was a little overpriced but I wasn't paying so it didn't bother me!

Well I usually just order the veggie plate at them kinda places but with creamed spinach for 11 bucks think I would prob just stop at the C. Store and grab a can of Beanie Weenies. Must be rich folks up in that part o the world.

Nope! Just dollarbill.....when we go out to eat I can usually afford the $1.00 hot dog not the "big money" steak....

I agree on Squealers. For a commercial chain it's great. There is also a place called King Ribs on 16th street just east of Tibbs Ave. The neighborhood leaves a little to be desired but the Q is authentic & good.
If you like stew there is a place called John's Stew just southwest of downtown on Kentucky Ave. I recommend the the hot stew.

Ditto on that. St Elmos is one of the best.

Ditto on St. Elmos...get the shrimp cocktail!!

Also, try Shapiro's Deli (AWESOME)

Also, The Ram Bar...right across the street from St. Elmo's...sports bar with it's own brewery!! VERY GOOD!!

JP, our chiefs are gonna be there too! What a waste of taxpayer $! ;)

Im on my way out now..Just outside of Columbus.. Looks like some good seminars and looking forward to the exhibits. Going to an unvailing party tonight for a new Braun apparatus. I understand there may be free cocktails and food there...
