Home Fried Chicken and Boudin Balls

It had been a while since I did some frying in the outdoor fryer so I decided to fry some chicken today. I bought a couple of whole chickens, cut them up, seasoned them with my homemade Cajun Seasoning and put them to marinate in some buttermilk and about a half cup of Tabsaco sauce.
While that was doing it's thing I made a little homemade mayo for some potato salad.

I almost forgot that I juiced a couple of blood oranges and diced up half of a large jalapeno pepper and put that to simmer for making a glaze for the fried chicken for those that wanted it. Also added some diced tasso to give it a bit of smokiness to it and then some honey to sweeten the spiciness.
Of course it was about time to have a nice cold beer.

Potato salad tasting delicious!

Something else I wanted to make and today was boudin balls and since I had the fryer going I did.

Well, Just as well batter up some pickle slices and toss them in the hot oil too.

Some of the chicken in the fryer.

You know what else would be good? Some fresh cut sweet potato fries.

Biscuits would go really well with this meal so I whipped up a quick batch and did them a little differently and quick.

When all was said and done this was a pretty darn good meal!

It's actually below normal. I'm due for my annual checkup soon and I don't expect it to be worst than below normal.

Wow..thats nice. Best thing to do for good health is stay away from Doctors. I would cancel the appointment for the physical and keep cooking.

Half of the Doctors graduate in the lower 50% of their class in med school. They might get to be a rare commodity if somebody cant figger out a way to derail Obiecare. All the Canadian Docs prob move back home because our crazy socialized medicine catastrophe is going to be much worse than what they fled. If they are smart they will all move to Mexico or S. Amercia. We will prob have to travel down their for top notch care. Its terrible how these commie clowns are ruining Our Country so fast. Hope Sista Sarah can put the wreckage all back together again. She was standing strong with some other nice free market type folks at the recent C Pac conflab huh? She looks good to some when her hair comes down over her left eye..most likely.
