High Roast Chicken

The Chicken turned out awesome and just like the lady said - the potatoes were a big hit!

I also tried the high roast method but I used the BGE and a duck. I used one of those disposable aluminum roasting pans and I put onions in with the spuds.


Here's the duck. the skin had been dried, then lightly oiled, and salt an pepper. I didn't do the butter under the skin because ducks have a lot of fat.

The Egg held this temp for the entire cook, an hour and twenty minutes.

The video was correct, the spuds were super. The duck fat and the onions were great. Plus, I like burned potatoes. I think I over cooked the duck and wasn't totally pleased with it. I definitely want to do the chicken. I liked using the Egg and it kept the high temp no problem.
