Got my Camera back!

I just got my camera back afeter 3 weeks. It still sucks. Its a Canon a480 powershot. We did Ed Wilsons own mac and cheese last night. Ive done it twice b4 but this time we didnt have cheddar cheese. We did have a bunch of Jack cheese that supplemented perfect. I added garlic powder and chili flakes mixed in. Its not for the un-heart healthy folks. But damn its good!

Also I just built this giant shadow box for pics. It turned out pretty good so far but, (and theres is always a but in life) I wasnt thinkin (again) when I put clear silicone to fill the gaps in the wood. (IDIOT) I gotta go get some hobby paint now that will stick to it. enjoy the pics!

WOW...the food looks great but that camera is horrible!

Now that you got a nice shadow box you need to get a nice camera to pick up all the details!

I believe it was set to macro (Im not sure what that even means)and no flash. When I turned it on just now it was set at "normal" It goes Macro - Normal - Infinity. Also when I use the flash Its REALLY bright usually.

Heres the steaks we did with red onion and Baked potato. I tried the salt method......They came out salty after I'd rinsed them. Ill fix the shadow box this afternoon. I might just slide a sheet of paper over the seems so theyre invisible.

Wife got the T Bone.

Your ISO is set at 1600...WAY too high for a room that has normal light. Mine is set to 80-200.
See if you can find the ISO setting and lower it. If you have the motion stabilizer on...turn that off. That will boost the ISO to capture low light, and eliminate blur.

Ok here is last nights dinner. We ground up all of the leftover t bone and ribeye and the wife made a spaghetti sauce outtaf it. It was pretty damn good! She was excited to use fresh basil out of the garden. Here is a pic using the same camera (with some help from ScottydaQ).

Looks like you & Scotty have got it figured out DB. I use an old Canon and find that Auto usually does the trick with the flash on auto as well. If it's too bright I'll use the macro mode as well.
