Fresh Fresh Breakfast

Alright so I've been on somewhat of a "Breakfast" kick this week so why not have a great breakfast this morning? I went outside this morning to give the chickens some leftover cupcakes that my wife was too picky to consider good enough for me to eat and to retrieve the mornings fresh eggs. I have eight hens and there were seven eggs in the two laying boxes they have.
Five of the seven eggs

A few of the hens going to town on those scraps

While out there I grabbed a half dozen Blood oranges off the tree for fresh juice. I have an electric juicer but this morning I decided to juice them the old fashioned way.

No pictures but I put some of my homemade bacon in the oven to cook and almost forgot about it when I went to get the eggs and oranges. I also put some grits to cook while juicing the oranges. Tossed a couple of slice of bread in the toaster, buttered and smeared on some fig preserves.
Put it all together and it was another fantastic breakfast.

Yep! A fantastic breakfast!!!

I've had some great breakfasts in NOL, but it looks like there could be none better than at the Traegernator house. Do we need reservations?

Dang..that looks good. Grits? gag..heave..sputter. Now I do hear rumors they are popular from Dallas on Eastward. Why anybody would lke em I aint got a clue. I would sub out hash browns in that frame of reference. Or a person could pile up some oranges slices right there. Smart thinking. Nice looking chickens.
