I had 2 lamps on high behind the camera ~ It just doesn't do that well unless there's ALOT of light. I thought about the bias light though..

Actually, it's rear projection. Plasma is brighter than LCD but someone told me recently that the plazma TV's are dying an early death ~ Something about the plazma losing it's punch or something..Anyone else know about that??

Anyway, I'm happy with mine ~ Adelphia broadcasts several channels in HDTV now and the picture quality of this Samsung is pretty darn good.

I would get LCD instead of the plasma if those are your 2 choices. Plasma TVs can also burn-in, leaving an image on your screen if you leave a static image on there for too long.
The technology I decided on was DLP (digital light processing). Mine is a Samsung. They have better blacks & contrast ratio than the LCD sets. You also don't have to worry about burn-in with a DLP.
You do have to change the lamp in the TV for ~$250 every few years (same with LCD), but then they're as good as new.
Huh?
