fishing last week in the Yukon

An arctic grayling. They were hitting dry flies all week.

My son and daughter-in-law with her big lake trout.

My wife's biggest lake trout.

Sunset at 1am on Solstice.

Myself, wife, daughter-in-law, and son in front of the cabin.

Threw back the big ones. Kept and ate the 18 to 24 inch ones. Big lake trout in northern lakes can be nearly as old as I am.

Re: fishing last week in the Yukon

Yep prob couldnt stick a fork in the gravy on that tough old fish. Old catfish get sorta rubbery textured like a cross twixt gator tail and frog legs. Like the old grey headed black guy was fond of saying..The mo I chews em the bigger they get.

Hey Griff i'm just curious if there are alot of bigger fish up there? The lakes out here seem to be over fished.......the smaller lakes/res. anyway..
