I don't know if my wife and kids were trying to be nice OR they were just trying to shut me up, but I picked up my new One Touch Gold on Saturday (it was supposed to be for Father's Day). Wasn't able to fire it up until Sunday but it was worth the wait. Did some pork chops (half with Wolfe rub, half with Reverend Marvin's). Two BIG thumbs up to Larry on his rub. It was excellent. BTW- my next door neighbor raved about it as well. Cooking on the Weber (for me) is like riding a bike. I haven't forgotten how, just a little shakey with the steering at first. I see a lot of great meals coming off that thing this summer. Probably a few burnt ones as well.

Congratulations on the new addition Rev! Thanks for the kind words about the WolfeRub!

And accessorize I will! I know the guy that reps Weber in this area....gonna be calling in all the markers I can. The way my wife sees it is the more I'm on that grill, the less time she has to spend cooking the entire meal. Looks like a win/win. Now, if I could just convince her that the more time I spend looking at porn, the less....nah, not going down that road.

Made my tongue slap my brain. Gonna try it on some chicken this weekend. Might be going into a cooking frenzy this weekend. Wife and kids may be heading to Asheville for the weekend to visit my brother in law. Nothing to do but float in the pool and cook on the new Weber. Either that or hit the strip joints. lol

Yep. Out near the interstate. One is right next door to a client of mine. Haven't been in there in years. The "talent" is very questionable at best...ahem, from what I hear.
