Well can tell yall aint Rednecks. Everybody knows a person dont have a drink with cake. They supposed to drink milk. That be a turrible way to waste a high dollar buzz. A person is supposed to save the cake till the cocktail hour has passed..or the Sun is no longer over the yard arm for any Swabbies in the crowd. Had a old ex Swabbie pal who refused to drink till the Sun was in the eggxact right spot. It sort of a trick cuz if you want him to start drinking at daylight he just say the Sun was over the yardarm of some ship in the fleet...then start drinking. Now no..cake is not appropriate at times such as this. The pecking order moves like this:
Baileys and Black Coffee (that is a real good hangover cure)
Blood Marys
Beer and Whiskey
Supper
Cake (with cold milk)
Bed
bigwheel
