Bread & Butter Jalapenos


Cut up some fresh onions, green peppers, and used my bread and butter pickle recipe. Good stuff. A little on the hot side, but that's okay.

5 lb cucumbers
1 lb onions
4 green peppers
2 red peppers
2 t turmeric (ground)
1 qt white vinegar
2-1/2 C sugar
1/2 C salt (canning)
2 t celery seed
2 t mustard seed (whole)
Bring to a boil vinegar,sugar,salt,celery seed,mustard seed and turmeric. Then add cucumbers, onion, and peppers. Simmer 3 min. Then pack in jars. Hot water bath for 5 min.
